UK DPA
The Data Protection Act 2018 is a United Kingdom Act of Parliament that controls how personal information of UK citizens is being used by public and private organisations.
Organisations processing personal information are directed to inform the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). DPA rules enforced by ICO are based on sharing of data and data security. Non-compliance with the DPA could result in a fine as high as £500,000 along with reputational damage and political pressure.
